Allen Matthews

Cincinnati, late 60s - early 70s

All we know about Allen Matthews is that he recorded a couple 45s for Charles Spurling's Bubbles label. He's the only artist besides Spurling to record on his label. The fisrt 45 is good R&B/soul sound, while his second 45 goes for a hard James Brown funk sound. It's likely the records were recorded at King.

According to a post on Youtube, Matthews is deceased. We would love to hear more about him!
