Blue Max

Dayton, 1969-80

Blue Max was a very popular Dayton band during the 1970s. The band was founded and led by guitarist Gary Hill, formerly of Captain Crunch and His Crew.

During the band's existence they released at least two 45s, one in 1969 and one in 1976. Both records sound of popular influences of their time. The first one has a strong late Beatles influence. The second one is of the acoustic rock sound with some country rock influence.
