Bock

Akron, 1973-6?

Bock were an Akron band that played the Cleveland and Akron clubs in the mid 70s.

Gary Grimes, one of the founding members, had been in Hobson's Choice. Bruce Morrell was a guitarist. Mark Benson also played guitar. They were known for playing Beatles' songs - which would make sense with Grimes (switching from right to left handed) (as Paul) and Benson (as John) later formed a  well known Beatles tribute band 1964 , with Greg George (who had been in the Turnkeys) as the "Ringo".

In December of 1974 the band lineup was Grimes, Jimmy Jones on guitar, David Bird (formerly of the Royal Chessmen) and Tony Catalano.

No known recordings. Gary Grimes is deceased. 1964 is still active.
