the Cranberry Mustache

Dayton, 1970

pic

The Cranberry Mustache seems to be short lived band, likely just a studio project lead by Daytonian Bob Steele. The story above, dated December 26, 1969, talks about Bob and mentions a couple bands, the Animated Toothbrush and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.  There are no other mentions of these bands, nor the Cranberry Mustache, in the Dayton papers.

The 45 was another release on the prolific, for a year or so, Clearhill label. "Far From Home" is a nice commercial rock song that sounds more like a mid 70s record, with Steele's poetic influences evident in the lyrics.
