Dave and the Stonehearts

Troy, 1965-7

Dave and the Stonehearts were from Troy, north of Dayton. They were pretty much the only teen band in town and played all the local dances, as well as some gigs in Dayton.

In late 1965 they recorded a 45 in Dayton for the Pixie custom label, doing a raw, primitive take on the Byrds "Feel a Whole Lot Better" backed with "Slow Down" where they used the Beatles' version as the source.

Discography

I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better / Slow Down - Pixie no #, master 804M-9632, late 1965.
