Ellen Lee

Ashtabula, 1965

Ellen Lee is the name on record of a teenage girl singer. The only known recording features an uptempo primitive rock and roll sound with Ellen sounding a bit like an unpolished Brenda Lee. Although the record is from 1965, it sounds a lot more 1950s/early 1960s influenced.

The record was released on the Seaway label from Ashtabula, the only 45 of the few on the label that would be considered a rock and roll record.

Other than the 45, we don't know much about her.
