George and the Highlanders

Cleveland, mid-late 1960s

This Cleveland R&B group was led by George Riddle, who plays the prominent Hammond B3 organ. The group played alot at Cleveland's R&B clubs. They made a 45 for Debrossard that features two instrumentals. Besides the Rotations, this seems to be the most successful and easy to find Debrossard 45.

Other names on the label are E. Nelson, L. Elmore. The record was produced by label operator Earle Owens.

George Riddle is deceased.
