Little Ted and the Novas

Marysville?, early-mid 1960s

pic

We don't have a lot of info about Little Ted and the Novas. They could be from Marysville. Homer Smith was primarily a country music promoter and did live in Marysville, but this could be just him booking a band from elsewhere. There are no other mentions of the band we could find in area newspapers. The name "Noval's" seems to be a mistake.

The band did record an excellent rockin' 45 for the Olimpic subsidiary label Kay-Gee. They sure don't seem to have any country influences despite Homer's recommendation. Ted Fletcher was the credited songwriter. As with the band, Ted Fletcher didn't leave a newspaper trail we could find.
