Lonnie Anderkin

Dayton, early 1960s

Lonnie Anderkin was a high school student at Colonel White high school.

Around 1960 he recorded an excellent rocker and released it on his own LADS label. The songs were credited to Bill Childress. From viewing the Dayton newspapers, Bill was an older musician who led a band in the late 1950s and played country and pop (in the 1960s his band was named appropriately the Countrypolitans). It's likely Bill's band was playing on Lonnie's record.

In 1963 Lonnie was in the Crosswinds, who came out of the Cut-Outs.

That's all we know about Lonnie.
