Penetrations

Columbus, 1966

pic

L-R: Jack Rafferty,  Mike Egger, Mike Casey, Don Cornwell, Gary May

Hailing from Columbus' south side, the Penetrations recorded the Columbus version of everyone's favorite teen dance number "In the Midnight Hour". The band included Gary May (lead guitar), Don Cornwell (bass), Mike Egger (drums), Jack Rafferty (lead singer), and Mike Casey (rhythm guitar). Mike Shoaf replaced Don Cornwell for about 3 gigs.

The band was started by Don Cornwell when he was in Roosevelt Junior High.

They are often confused with another Penetrations band from Chillicothe, both groups played a few of the same places.
