T & M Express

Columbus, 1975-9

T & M Express were the vocal/guitar duo of Tim York and Michael Hawthorne. The group played acoustic country-rock with harmony vocals. The group played aorund the Ohio State college club scene and travelled around the midwest. Both members have roots in the Austin, TX area and their sound included influences from that town's famous singer/songwriter sound.

In 1977 they recorded an LP at Musicol and had it pressed there. The LP included all orignal songs except for one Eagles cover. Jeff D'Angelo (formerly of the Cheerful Earful) is credited on bass and Tony Martucci on drums. This was the only record they released.

In recent years Tim and Michael, both back in Texas, have renewed the duo under the name of York and Hawthorne.
