Top Drawer

Mansfield, 1970-3

Top Drawer played the range of school dances to rock clubs from Mansfield down to northern Kentucky. With backing from their Columbus based manager, they recorded an LP of original songs and released the LP in '72. Some of the music is quite good, notably "Song of a Sinner", and the LP presents a good example of the Ohio Valley's creative musicians trying their best to craft a unique sound rooted in rock-n-roll idioms of the time. The LP has recently been re-issued on CD with one band members assistance.
