Worryin' Kind

Columbus, 1966-7

The Worryin' Kind were mostly students at South HS in Columbus. Lead singer Roger Grizzell had been in the Mustangs.

The band recorded a nice raw teen garage 45 at Magnetic in late 1966 / early 1967 at Magnetic and had it pressed by King on their custom Trim record label. The side was an original song by guitarist Joe Bernthold and Roger Grizzell, who said they wrote the song a day or two before the session during some dull moments in school. The flip side was a cover of a Byrds song

The band played some of usual teen dance spots in Columbus. When most of the band members graduated, that was the end of the group.

Roger Grizzell was in Bandit during the 1970s.
