the Damnation of Adam Blessing

Cleveland, 1968-73

One the biggest and best Ohio bands of the era, Damnation (taking their name from a pulp novel) recorded 4 LPs on United Artists that have grown strongly in stature amongst fans. The band started from breakup of two popular local bands, the Purple Haze (formerly the Alarm Clocks) and the Society. They played extensively in the Cleveland club scene and throughout Ohio, PA, etc. Most of their LPs were recently reissued in Europe, and a detailed story of the band can be read in Ugly Things magazine.
