Determinations

Cleveland, early 70s

This group included brothers Bruce Grant and Byron Grant, along with two or three more unidentified members. They were mentored by Clarence "Little G" Gillespie.

They made one 45 for what seems to be a one-off label. Dolphin records, which seems to have been run by Ronald Ward. Clarence wrote both songs and plays drums. The songs are the ballad "Got To Get You Off My Mind" and "Love Respect and Understanding", both quality productions. The record sounds like it was recorded at Agency.

We don't know much more. There were several groups called the Determinations, but the Cleveland group seems to have made just this one record.
