the 4 Jades

Cincinnati, early 1970s

A soul vocal group from Cincinnati, the 4 Jades recorded one 45 in late 1971, We don't know much about the group. Two members may have been named R. Britton and W. Johnson, based on the writer credits.

The group recorded on the Cin-Town label run by Cincinnati jazz guitarist and enterprenuer Wilbert Longmire. The A side is funk dance song "Doom-Chang" but the standout is the ballad side "Gee, How I Miss You", a great production. The sides were probably recorded at Counterpart.

The only mention we could find was an appearance on the Talent Time TV show on June 26, 1970. They were on with the Endeavors and the Round Trip Tickets - nice lineup!
