The Nomads started playing Rock n Roll in 1963 in Brookville, Ohio. The original members were Doug Rasor (guitar/vocals), Jack Clemmons (guitar) and Bob Clemmons (drums). The band played many venues from Golden Gate park, to school dances in the area and were winners of several “battle of the band” competitions.

In ‘65, the band personnel changed and Mike Watson (bass), Tom Fryman (guitar/vocals) Gary Patterson (drums) and Johnny Matteucci (keys) were added. The band continued to perform locally, but added venues such as Forest Park Plaza (the Caverns), Coca Cola dance party (on WING radio) and Frat parties at Ohio universities (Miami, Wittenberg, etc)

By 1968, Mike and Doug were away at college and Tom and Gary where raduating from high school….. the band drifted apart.

In 2009, after being apart for 40+ years, the band reunited for a concert/party @ the Brookville VFW hall. Over 200 people attended! Since then we get back together each summer in mid-July to rock-out and party with our friends, families, and neighbors @ the VFW.

Thanks to Doug Rasor
